Am I the only sponsor of the animal I choose?
Likely not. Our animal sponsorships are symbolic, and the funds go into our general operating budget and are not earmarked to that specific animal (doing so would be next to impossible if you think about it — we can’t tell Manny not to eat Larry’s hay!).
Why are the monthly sponsorship amounts set at certain amounts?
The monthly sponsorship amounts are set relative to an amount that generally reflects the costs to feed and care for an animal during any given month. Of course these costs could differ depending on the circumstances, but we wanted to make sure to set an amount for each animal that would also be affordable for our sponsors. We appreciate and are grateful for every sponsor!
What happens if the animal I'm sponsoring passes away?
Unfortunately sometimes an animal may pass away unexpectedly. In the event of an animal's death we’ll make every effort to notify you as soon as possible, and give you the option of transferring your sponsorship to a different animal or ending it.
How do I update my credit card information or end my sponsorship?
In the event that your credit card expires and/or you want to change the card you use for your sponsorship, you can visit the Donor Login page through DonorBox, our donation platform. An account is automatically created for all donors with recurring donations allowing you to manage your sponsorship directly with your login information. We also understand that there may be circumstances that prompt the need to end your sponsorship. You can cancel your monthly sponsorship from the Donor Login page as well.
