Little Carl escaped from a nursery barn. He was found by a nearby neighbor who kept him in a cardboard box. She contacted us about taking him, and we met with her and got him. He was hardly moving and obviously in rough shape, we honestly weren’t sure if he was going to make it. It turns out he had pneumonia and could barely breathe. He was too weak to walk, and was severely dehydrated with diarrhea. Carl was malnourished, had an ear infection, a worrying severe head tilt and had mange. An emergency visit from our vet who met us here late that night upon Carl’s arrival saved his life. At the time our vet gave him a 50/50 chance of survival. Look at him now! Carl had that emergency visit, a trip to the U of M the next day and two more visits from our vet for continuing treatment since. Thankfully he is now doing well but could surely use your monthly support. Thank you!
